Stephanie Beninger, owner of Cooking by Stephanie

A constant complaint now a days is how busy our lives are getting and after a long work week, the last thing you want to do is slave away in the kitchen. Who has time to grocery shop let along cook a healthy meal anymore? And we all know how stressful it can be preparing for a dinner party. The good news is you don’t have to anymore. Chestermere now has its own catering company that will prepare and deliver a home-cooked meal that will compare to your grandmother’s cooking. They can also provide catering for up to 200 guests to the smallest, most elegant parties. Additionally, in January she will also be providing cooking classes right out of her own kitchen.
Cooking by Stephanie is owned and operated by Chestermere resident, Stephanie Beninger. Stephanie is a recent graduate of the SAIT Professional Cooking 2 year Program. Stephanie has grown up in the food industry because of her family’s long time involvement in the restaurant industry. In fact, her brother is the owner of The Point, the new restaurant located at the Lakeside Golf Club.
After completing her education at SAIT, Stephanie went on to enjoy working with some of the country’s best chef’s whom she learned a great deal from. While working at Charcut Roast House in Calgary, she met her mentor, Connie DeSousa; who is well known in Calgary’s culinary scene winning second place in Top Chef Canada. The opportunity to work with leaders like DeSousa has been instrumental in Stephanie’s passion for cooking.
Focusing on using as many local ingredients as possible and supporting local farmers selling organic products, Stephanie creates a new menu every month with several different options for home delivery. Arriving fresh on your doorstep, each entree option ranges in price from $30 to $45 and with portion sizes that will overly satisfy four adults, nobody will be left hungry! Menus can be found online and orders can be placed directly from the company’s website. The culinary expert will then prepare your orders fresh and deliver right to your door and delivery within Chestermere is no charge! All you have to do is reheat so save yourself some time and order a tasty meal from your local, mobile caterer.
Cooking by Stephanie also offers a superb catering service for your public or private function. From weddings to conferences, or even if you just want to impress that special someone for an anniversary or birthday, Stephanie can cater to your needs. Every events menu will be custom-made to your food preference and budget. Based locally, operating out of The Point kitchen, Stephanie is offering a first-class service.
Stephanie prides herself on not just the food aspect of catering – but wants the entire experience to be one that her clients remember and enjoy. She has years of experience on the front end of the restaurant industry and from that she has learned many things beyond just the meal. This unique business owner pays attention to all the details of the entire event and really puts effort into ensuring her clients can count on her to guarantee the entire event is the best it can be.
What better way to learn some new tricks than by getting your hands dirty? Beginning in January, Stephanie will be adding one more component to the business; she will be offering small cooking classes right in her own kitchen. From girls night out to couples cooking – there will be classes for everyone. What Stephanie promises will be a fun night out with your friends and neighbours will surely be a satisfying experience, complete with some cooking and of course the best part, savouring your new dish.
Cooking by Stephanie will deliver 7 days a week, so why cook tonight when you don’t have to? Order you family a delicious, freshly prepared meal by Cooking with Stephanie.
