On November 5th, Real Deals opened its doors to the public and what an amazing addition this store is to the community. From the moment you walk into the doors, there is a welcoming feeling and smiling faces to greet you.
Franchise owner, Di Cozart, proudly gave me a tour of the shop that literally has something for everyone. Although the shop had just barely opened its doors, patrons were already flooding in to check out the newest business and all it has to offer.
Real Deals is a unique shopping experience of home décor, metal art, clocks, lamps, small furniture, ceramics and glass, and a fun trending line of ladies boutique. With a rustic yet modern feel, there is something for every style.
In April 2003 a few friends in the southern state of Georgia got together and opened Real Deals on Furniture without any prior retail or furniture experience. It was 100,000 square feet of amazing deals. “Our philosophy was honestly as simple as “buy great looking furniture and sell it cheaper than anyone else and provide a unique and fun shopping experience”. I remember being shocked at our first furniture market in Tupelo, MS at how much these industry guys were marking up furniture. We decided to undercut everyone. People would tell us that we wouldn’t last, but we knew it would work.”
Later that same year, the first franchise opened up in Idaho…and ever since, Real Deals have been popping up all over. In Alberta, there are locations in Calgary, Calgary (South), Grande Prairie, Lethbridge, Lloydminster, Medicine Hat, Red Deer and the newly opened, Strathmore location.

Real Deals is located at 18 Spruce Park Drive and their hours are Thursdays 10-6, Fridays 10-6 and Saturdays 10-6.
