Did you know that Chestermere has it’s own Toastmasters group? If you’re interested in checking them out, they’d love to have you visit one of their upcoming meetings.

Toastmasters is a place that empowers its members to learn and practice communication and leadership skills. At Toastmasters, everyone starts out with small roles to improve their public speaking without ever being pressured to go beyond their comfort level. After you deliver your speeches to the group, you are then critiqued all in an effort to build the skills of public speaking and help build confidence.
Toastmasters is a proven program which began in the 1924 and District 42 (Alberta and Saskatchewan) has been around since 1956. Toastmasters is the world’s leading international organization in the providing communication and leadership training.
The Toastmaster’s International Mission is:
We empower individuals to become more effective communicators and leaders
Toastmasters is an environment where likeminded people, keen on improving their communication and leadership skills can support each other to become better. A Toastmaster improves their communication and leadership skills, while helping peers in the club improve as well.
Toastmasters is a non-profit organization and is a very effective program available to improve communication and leadership skills. Millions of people have benefited from the program over the years. Everyone from business owners, teachers, or anyone who finds themselves in a situation where they need to speak to a group of people, not matter what size that group may be. Toastmasters is also great for those that fear job interviews, are prepping to give a Best Man speech at a wedding, if you’re heading into the world of politics or just generally wanting to improve your communication skills.
Members of the Chestermere Toastmaster group say, “The Toastmasters club setting is where we conduct a meeting and practice various communication and leadership roles. There is a communication and leadership track to follow and best of all, Toastmasters issues “Credentials” which are recognized by employers worldwide. Toastmasters also offers valuable leadership opportunities including opportunities to volunteer on a Club Executive and/or in the broader Toastmaster’s organization. At Toastmasters, you will become a more effective communicator and leader, while also helping others improve. Best of all Toastmasters is fun and never heavy”.
If you are looking to improving your communication and leadership skills, The Chestermere Toastmasters Club may be the perfect opportunity. Feel free to come and visit as a guest. As a guest, you can observe several meetings before speaking at a meeting.
